How malaria is affecting the citizens in the southern part of Africa.
Is there any organizations that is putting actions to this issue?
There is an organization that's called the A. M. R. F.. It stands for African Medical Research Foundation What exactly are they doing to try and combat or change your issue? The A. M. R. F. are trying to understand the cause and the affect about the malaria, and they are looking for solutions to this problem. Access to an accurate, early diagnostic services and effective treatment as close to their home as possible, so they can easily save them from danger, or when they are in times in crisis. The organization is also trying to lower their risk of getting malaria by: through personal and community measures, especially like those long-lasting insecticidal nets and anti-malarial medication, particularly for pregnant women and children. They are also making women who are pregnant to eat or use vitamins to help and give them, as in the babies and the women strengths.
What are some things that I like about this program?
We had liked this particular organization because they are trying to save the next generation kids. Which is by giving their mothers vitamins, just help them control their malaria while they are giving birth, and the babies will get a healthy body as well, this would solve the problem of infant mortality. Another thing that we liked about this organization was that they seem to be very interesting. They didn't do the same or similar events to help prevent or solve the situation of malaria.
What questions do I have about this organization?
Where do they get the money from, did they get it from the United States?
If it is, the how much are they getting, is it 9 million dollars or is it close to a million?
Where did they get the medicine from, a sponsor, fund raiser, or did they get it from the governor?
What's there brand name of that vitamin that they are giving to the pregnant ladies?
So by giving those women, that are pregnant, some vitamins to make the baby healthy, but is it working?
Or is it failing?
Are they focusing on men as well, or is it only about pregnant women and the new generation kids?
How could you become involved with this organization or model your action plan after it?
I am thinking about having a fund raiser to raise money and donate the money to them. So by giving them the money, they can buy their needs to overcome this devastating situation to that has been going on in South African. I also would go to South Africa to help out the people.
